I have reluctantly accepted an offer from Honda Canada to allow them to replace my 2024 Rubicon TRX Deluxe with a 2025 Rubicon TRX Deluxe..... Here are the reasons I say that "I reluctantly accepted".....
1: I have spoken to a few lawyers and they said that if I sue Honda Canada in small claims court (court system for values $35,000 and under) I would only get the value of my machine back, not the accessories I added on or my cost of the lawyer needed to get my money back.
2:Honda would not agree to any other form of compensation what so ever, other than replacing my machine with a newer model and paying for the transfer of the accessories. Even when I asked if Honda Canada would offer at the very least a 1 year extended warranty for peace of mind because the issues on my machine are still happening to the new machines, the Rep told me that no other offer would be presented because Honda Canada feels that replacing my old machine with a new machine and transferring the accessories is acceptable compensation to me.
I asked the Honda Rep what is going to happen if my new machine has more shifting and stalling issues that are also happening on the 2025 machines? The Rep said they were not aware of any issues because the faulty parts are not on the new machines. When I told the Rep that there are several people on the Honda 520 group that I belong to complaining about these issues on 520 models he only said that " I can not comment on any ongoing issues that are not on the machine that you will be receiving". The Rep also said that if the issues do appear on the new machine that I am receiving that there is a new 1 year warranty that will cover the repair of these issues. I then told the Rep "How are you going to fix the issues on the new machine if Honda Canada can't even fix the ones on my 2024 machine. The Rep's reply was "I can not comment on that". which tells me that Honda Canada still has absolutely no clue how to fix the issue!!!
As soon as I receive the new machine it will be going on the market as a "Brand New Used Honda Rubicon with 0km loaded with $3,000 in Accessories" I know I will be taking a big loss on this, unless I really want to go through this absolutely horrible nightmare of an experience with Honda Canada again... Which I really do not want for myself or anyone else....
